Article 1. Zoning Code

(a)   The zoning code, including the zoning maps and the subdivision regulations, known as the “City of Abilene Zoning Regulations,” is hereby incorporated by reference. No fewer than three (3) copies of the “City of Abilene Zoning Regulations” shall be marked or stamped “Official Copy as Incorporated by the Code of the City of Abilene, Kansas,” and shall be filed with the City Clerk to be open to inspection and available to the public at all reasonable hours of business.

(b)   Said zoning regulations have subsequently been amended by Ordinance Nos. 3278, 3292, 3310, 3317.

(a)   A new Zoning Map is hereby approved, pursuant to K.S.A. 12-741 et seq., which govern the use of land within the corporate limits of the City of Abilene. The new Zoning Map is hereby declared to be approved and incorporated by reference as if set out fully herein pursuant to K.S.A. 12-3001 et seq., K.S.A. 12-3009 et seq. and K.S.A. 12-3301 et seq. In accordance with K.S.A. 12-3010 at least one copy of the Zoning Map, marked, “Official Copy as Incorporated by Reference by Ordinance No. 3284,” and to which there shall be attached a published copy of this section or said ordinance, shall be filed with the City Clerk to be open for inspection and available to the public at all business hours.

(b)   Said zoning map has subsequently been amended by Ordinance Nos. 3291, 3313, 3315.

Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions of this article shall, upon conviction thereof, be fined as prescribed in Chapter 1 “General Penalties” and amendments thereto.

The invalidity of any section of this article or the “City of Abilene Zoning Regulations” incorporated herein shall not invalidate other sections or provisions thereof.
