A CHARTER ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ABILENE, KANSAS REPEALING CHARTER ORDINANCE NO. 26, A CHARTER ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ABILENE, KANSAS EXEMPTING THE CITY FROM THE PROVISIONS OF K.S.A. 79-41a04(d), AND PROVIDING SUBSITUTE PROVISIONS CONERNING THE EXPENDITURE AND USE OF LOCAL ALCOHOLIC LIQUOR FUNDS.

WHEREAS, the City of Abilene, Kansas did at a regularly scheduled meeting of the Abilene City Commission on the 24th day of April 2017 adopt Charter Ordinance 26 exempting the City of Abilene from the provisions of K.S.A. 79-41a04(d), and providing substitute provisions concerning the expenditure and use of Local Alcoholic Liquor funds; and

WHEREAS, upon further consideration the governing body of the City of Abilene has determined exempting the City of Abilene from the provisions of K.S.A. 79-41a04(d) does not serve the best interest of the community at this time, SO, NOW THEREFORE,

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF ABILENE, KANSAS;

SECTION 1. Charter Ordinance No. 27 repealing Charter Ordinance No. 26 as adopted by the governing body of the City of Abilene on April 24, 2017 is hereby adopted.
