A CHARTER ORDINANCE EXEMPTING THE CITY OF ABILENE, KANSAS, FROM THE PROVISIONS OF K.S.A. 79-1952 AND K.S.A. 79-5001 TO 79-5018, AS AMENDED, AND REPEALING CHARTER ORDIANCES NOS. 4 AND 6.

Be It Ordained by the Governing Body of the City of Abilene, Kansas, that:

SECTION 1. The ‘city of Abilene, Kansas, pursuant to power vested by Article 12, Section 5 of the Constitution of the State of Kansas, hereby elects to be exempt from the provisions of K.S.A. 79-1952 and K.S.A. 79-5001 to 79-5018, as amended, which are enactments of the legislature applicable to the City of Abilene , Kansas, but which are not applicable uniformly to all cities.

SECTION 2. The provisions of K.S.A. 79-1952 and K.S.A. 79-5001 to 79-5018, and any amendments thereto, shall not apply to any taxes levied by the City of Abilene, Kansas.

SECTION 3. Charter Ordinances Nos. 4 and 6 are hereby repealed in their entirety.
